![]() The Highly Inappropriate Tension Meme |
Touches. Glances. Sides brushing, so close to each other. The moment is, most likely, quiet, subdued, and calm. Or it could be loud and full of life, right in the middle of a vivacious party. Yet, no matter the case, your blood is pumping - no, nearly boiling with the passion bubbling between you and your companion. Unfortunately, this tension is completely and absolutely out of line. Whether it be the place, the time, your relationship with the person (be that literal relation or power difference, age difference, experience difference, and so on), your own lack of knowledge, or personal convictions, you should not act on any building desires. But here's the thing about tension: it builds. It builds, and it builds, until... Well, even subtlety can come to an inappropriate head. HOW TO PLAY

It seemed appropriate to post these seeing that it was WrestleMania weekend just recently.

An unusual relationship of any kind of fandom (i.e. books, television shows, movies, ect.) that is unlikely to happen.
Randomly take two characters… they don’t have to know each other, they don’t have to show ANY signs of a relationship, and hook them together. That is a crack pairing.
Roll your class. Roll your setting. Roll your prompt. Then roll a complication to mess it all up.

Space Opera refers to works set in a spacefaring civilization, usually set in the far future or A Long Time Ago, in a Galaxy Far Far Away.... Technology is ubiquitous and secondary to the story. Space opera has an epic character to it: the universe is big, there are usually many sprawling civilizations and empires, there are political conflicts and intrigue.

you shoulda seen the other guy... 🩸 comment with your character. they're on the brink of death and have been unceremoniously dumped somewhere. yeah, that's all their blood... 🩹 anyone who comments is the lucky good samaritan who discovers them. 🩸 at least you'd better pray they're filled with the milk of human kindness. they could heal you, but there's always the alternative. 🩹 what if they're an angel of death who'll finish the job? |

Tuesday: After Big Events
22/04/2025 11:11 amToday's theme is after big events - i.e., what happens following life-changing moments and experiences, both personal and societal. (Feel free to interpret that loosely, though.) Prompts should thus explore and focus on this idea.
Just a few rules:
No more than five prompts in a row.
No more than three prompts in the same fandom.
Use the character's full names and the fandom's full name
No spoilers in prompts for a month after airing, or use the spoiler cut option found here.
If your fill contains spoilers, warn and leave plenty of space, or use the above-mentioned spoiler cut.
Prompts should be formatted as follows: [Use the character's full names and fandom's full name]
Fandom, Character +/ Character, Prompt
Some examples to get the ball rolling...
+ The X-Files, Dana Scully, her life post-FBI
+ Any, any, buying a bunch of on-sale candy after a holiday
+ Any, any, life as a married couple post-wedding and honeymoon
We are now using AO3 to bookmark filled prompts. If you fill a prompt and post it to AO3 please add it to the Bite Sized Bits of Fic from 2025 collection. See further notes on this new option here.
Not feeling any of today’s prompts? You can use LJ’s advanced search options to limit keyword results to only comments in this community.
While the use of LJ's advanced search options is available, bookmarking the links of prompts you like might work better for searching in the future.
If you are viewing this post on our Dreamwidth site, please know that fills posted here will not show up as comments on our LiveJournal site but you are still more than welcome to participate.
If you have a Dreamwidth account and would feel more comfortable participating there, please feel free to do so…and spread the word!
